Rodong Sinmun Urges U.S. to Make Bold Decision for Rolling Back Its Hostile Policy toward DPRK
Pyongyang, October 18 (KCNA) -- U.S. major policy research institutes and experts on Korean affairs are asserting every day that the new administration has to make a switchover in its policy toward the DRPK, drawing world attention.

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says in a commentary in this regard:

The worst danger of war is being created on the Korean peninsula, the biggest hotspot in the world, where a nuclear war or a conventional war may break out anytime.

It is the unshakable stand of the DPRK to put an end to the danger of a nuclear war imposed by the U.S. with powerful nuclear deterrence and protect the peace and security in the region and the world.

With no sophism can the U.S. evade the blame for bringing the situation on the Korean peninsula to the brink of war and the prevailing dangerous situation on the peninsula is an inevitable product of the U.S. wrong hostile policy toward the DPRK.

The DPRK emerged an invulnerable socialist bulwark in the East to put a brake in the wheel of the U.S. drive to realize its strategy for world hegemony. This is the main reason why the U.S. is kicking up the frantic racket for sanctions against the DPRK while pulling up it over its nuclear development.

The DPRK has already made it clear that no sanctions are workable for the abandonment of its nukes.

The more persistently the U.S. pursues its hostile policy toward the DPRK, the more unfavorable position the U.S. will find itself.

The nuclear threat and blackmail, sanctions and pressure on the DPRK to which the U.S. is resorting, failing to properly understand the dramatically changed strategic position of Juche Korea and the trend of the times, would only compel it to further bolster up its nuclear attack means.

It is a pipedream for the U.S. to try to force the DPRK to dismantle its nukes through military pressure, sanctions and blockade.

If the U.S. is to stop going downhill, it should properly understand the strategic position of the DPRK which emerged a nuclear power in the East and face up to the trend of the times and make a bold decision for rolling back its hostile policy toward the DPRK.
