Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says in a commentary in this regard:

The combined naval drill staged by the enemies while trumpeting about "muscle flexing against the north" and "demonstration of the will for counteraction" was the worst military provocation against the DPRK and a dangerous saber-rattling which pushed the acute situation on the Korean peninsula to the brink of a nuclear war.

The gravity of the recent maneuver was that it was staged under the scenario of making a precision preemptive strike at the DPRK from the seas according to the "operation plan for mass counteraction".

Taken aback by the DPRK's nuclear deterrence for self-defense capable of cutting off the windpipes of the aggressors at one stroke anywhere and anytime, the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces are foolishly attempting to make a three dimensional attack through preemptive strike and special warfare operation not only on the ground but also in the seas.

The combined naval drill assumed more dangerous nature as it was staged at a time when the hostile forces' racket for stifling the DPRK was reaching its climax.

It was a very serious development that the very provocative war drill was held under the simulated conditions of making a preemptive strike on the north in the East, West and South Seas of Korea at a time when the U.S. nuclear strategic bombers frequently flew over the Korean peninsula and even nuclear aircraft carrier appeared in waters off it to threaten the DPRK.

Preemptive strike is by no means a monopoly of the enemies.

If the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces dare provoke the DPRK, its resolute, decisive and preemptive military counteraction is inevitable.
