School Youth and Children Start Study Tour of Kim Jong Il's Birthplace
Hyesan, February 1 (KCNA) -- School youth and children from across the country began a study tour of leader Kim Jong Il's birthplace in the secret camp in Mt. Paektu on the occasion of his birth anniversary.

A kick-off ceremony took place in front of the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo in Hyesan City on Monday.

The participants in the study tour laid a floral basket and bouquets before the statue of President Kim Il Sung of the monument and paid tribute to him.

Jang Hyon Chol, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the youth league, made a report at the ceremony to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers called on the study tour makers to fully demonstrate the dynamic and courageous traits as reliable reserves, advanced party and wing of the party steadfastly carrying forward the march to Mt. Paektu under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

At the end of the ceremony the study tour makers left for Pochonbo, flying flags of the DPRK, the youth league and study tour group, led by the flags bearing the beaming images of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
