Second All-out People's Action Staged in S. Korea
Pyongyang, December 8 (KCNA) -- The second all-out people's action was staged in Seoul on December 5 in protest against the south Korean conservative ruling forces' fascist suppression, retrogressive revision of the labor law and moves to "introduce state-compiled history textbook".

Participating in it were representatives of the Joint Council of Civic and Public Organizations composed of 500 organizations, workers, peasants, youth and students, religionists, figures of the opposition parties, more than 50,000 in all.

The rally begun with the introduction of the video message sent by Han Sang Gyun, chairman of the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU), who took refuge in Jogye Temple due to the police's threat to arrest him.

In the message the chairman of the KCTU said that the "government" disallowed the second all-out people's action, though he had already clarified his stand to stage it in the form of peaceful people's grand march.

Then a declaration was made public.

It called for staging people's actions including third all-out people's action in all areas all at once on December 19, keeping pace with the general strike of the KCTU against the retrogressive revision of labor law, and turning out in the movement to have progressive politics for people centered on workers, peasants and the poor enforced.

The rally conveyed news of the actions staged by Koreans overseas in solidarity with the second all-out people's action, and that international labor organizations sent messages of protest demanding a stop to the operation to arrest the KCTU chief, the release of those arrested and halt to the retrogressive revision of the labor law to Chongwadae and south Korean embassies in various countries.

Speakers warned the "government" and the chief executive who turned deaf ears to the voices of the people would face history's judgment.
