Workers across Country Respond to Appeal of Workers of Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex
Pyongyang, December 8 (KCNA) -- Employees' meetings took place at industrial establishments across the country in hearty response to the appeal made by the workers of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex to greet the 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

The above-said appeal was read out and reports and speeches were made there.

A reporter and speakers at the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex said at the meeting that the workers in the field of the metal industry would cherish the noble sense of duty that they are pioneers in building a thriving nation, put it on a modern and IT basis, regarding science and technology as their life and soul, and intensify their drive for locally producing necessary raw and other materials and equipment.

Workers of the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex and the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex also held meetings to vow to make an active contribution to the improvement of the people's standard of living by firmly establishing the independent production system relying on the locally available materials and resources and fully providing materials and fertilizers necessary for the fields of the light industry and agriculture.

The employees of the Ranam Coal-mining Machine Complex held a meeting to renew their pledge to respond to the appeal of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex with signal successes in production.

The workers of the Jongbangsan Combined Foodstuff Factory vowed to boost the production of tasty and highly nutritious food by their own efforts and with indigenous technology, noting that it is an ambition and goal of the Korean workers to make the best things which may excel the world standard.
