Alexandr Gromov, first secretary of the Khabarovsk Territorial Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee decided to organize political and cultural events including a remembrance meeting, seminar and film show on the occasion of the 4th anniversary of demise of Kim Jong Il.
