Koreans in Ukraine Demand S. Korean Authorities Opt for National Cooperation
Pyongyang, January 8 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Sul, chairman of the United Confederation of Koreans in Ukraine, in a statement on Jan. 5 demanded the south Korean authorities opt for improving relations with the north.

The statement said the United Confederation fully supports the New Year Address made by Marshal Kim Jong Un in which he called for maintaining the principle of independence specified in the three principles of national reunification and the north-south joint declarations, taking the firm standpoint of By our nation itself, preserving nation's security and peace and creating an atmosphere for improving the north-south ties.

It is the vital task of the times not to tolerate any more discord and antagonism but to achieve national reconciliation and ensure the peace on the Korean Peninsula, the statement said, adding:

The south Korean authorities should clearly face up to the situation, away from confrontational megalomania.

They should opt for cooperation with the nation, not with outsiders, and readily come out for reconciliation and co-existence with sincerity before talking about other's "sincerity".

All the Koreans abroad will make active contributions to the patriotic movement for mending the north-south ties and ensuring peace on the Korean Peninsula.
