Japan's Pronounced Moves to Distort History under Fire: News Analyst
Pyongyang, April 4 (KCNA) -- Japan has recently become evermore reckless in its moves to distort its history textbooks in a sinister bid to tamper with the blood-stained history of its past crimes.

Ultra-right forces of Japan are making desperate efforts to implant militarist outlook on history and revanchism into the minds of its youngsters to train them as descendants of Samurais for their future wars of aggression.

At the end of March the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan announced the results of examination of 21 kinds of textbooks on social science for high schools.

According to them, 15 kinds of textbooks out of them said Tok Islets of Korea belong to the territory of Japan. This means three more kinds of textbooks had this description than last year.

Reflecting the sinister scenario of the Japanese government to make the issue of Tok Islets an international dispute, these textbooks openly underscored the need to settle the issue from a fair stand through the mediation of the UN Security Council or the International Criminal Court.

While enforcing a military rule over Korea after occupying it, Japan forcibly drafted millions of young and middle-aged Koreans and committed such hideous crime as forcing women into the sexual slavery. This is an undeniable stark historical fact.

What matters is that the Japanese authorities are taking the lead in the moves to distort the history and deny Japan's past crimes.

Prime Minister Abe let loose a spate of such balderdash as twisting the decision made by the Far Eastern International Military Tribunal at the meeting of the Budget Committee of the House of Representatives On Mar. 12.

If Japan persistently refuses to discontinue its sordid distortion of history, it will leave another shameful stain on the human history of the 21st century and will never be able to escape international isolation.
