Korean Residents in Russia Visit DPRK Consulate General

Pyongyang, December 25 (KCNA) -- Russia-resident Koreans visited the DPRK consulate general in Nakhodka on Dec. 23 to express condolences over the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

Among them were officials of the United Confederation of Koreans in Maritime Territory of Russia, the deputy chief of the Korean Cultural Centre in Vladivostok, the vice-chairman of the Renewal Association in Ussuriysk, the chairman and members of the Elders Association in Ussuriysk and the vice-chairman of the Elders Association in Artyom.

The compatriots laid wreaths and bunches of flowers before the portrait of Kim Jong Il and observed a moment's silence in humblest reverence.

They conveyed their condolatory letters addressed to Kim Jong Un, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea, to the consul general.

Pak Phyong Won, chairman of the United Confederation, wrote in the condolence book:

Comrade Kim Jong Il is the prominent leader who devoted all his life to the prosperity of the country, the people's happiness and national reunification and to the development of the friendly relations between the DPRK and Russia and global peace and stability.

His exploits will be glorified to the last by Comrade Kim Jong Un.

The presence of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un will inspire us with confidence.
