Cambodian Parliamentary Delegations Visits DPRK Embassy

Pyongyang, December 25 (KCNA) -- Delegations of the Cambodian National Assembly and the People's Party of Cambodia Thursday paid condolatory visits to the DPRK embassy in Phnom-Penh on the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

President Heng Samlin and members of the Cambodian National Assembly and Ney Pena, Presidium member of the Central Committee of the People's Party of Cambodia, and its leadership members laid wreaths before the portrait of Kim Jong Il and paid silent tribute.

The president wrote in the mourners' book that all of them express deepest condolences to the leadership of the fraternal DPRK and the Korean people.

The exploits performed by HE Marshal Kim Jong Il would last forever, he added.

Ney Pena made the following entry in the mourners' book:

HE Marshal Kim Jong Il is the supreme leader who led the defence of the country and its construction to victory. The Korean people are highly praising his exploits and always remember his benevolence. The People's Party of Cambodia and the Cambodian people express the deepest condolences to the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people.

On the same day the chairman of the Cambodia-Korea Friendship Association and general secretary of the Cambodian National Olympic Committee also visited the DPRK embassy to mourn the demise of Kim Jong Il.
