FM of Democratic Congo Visits DPRK Embassy

Pyongyang, December 25 (KCNA) -- Foreign Minister Alexis Thambwe Mwamba, representative of the government of Democratic Congo, Thursday paid a condolatory visit to the DPRK embassy in Kinshasa on the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

He was accompanied by officials of the Foreign Ministry of Democratic Congo including a department director, and diplomatic, political and information advisers to him.

They laid a wreath before the portrait of Kim Jong Il and paid profound condolences.

The Foreign Minister said the government and people of Democratic Congo are stricken with the bitterest grief and sorrow upon hearing the sad news of the demise of HE Kim Jong Il.

The demise of HE Kim Jong Il is a great loss to the DPRK, he added.

He expressed the deepest condolences to the government and people of the DPRK and the bereaved family on behalf of the government and people of Democratic Congo.

He expressed hope that the Korean people would overcome sorrow and register steady successes.
