Pyongyang, December 25 (KCNA) -- The Korean people are called upon by a political essay of Rodong Sinmun Sunday to become eternal revolutionary comrades of leader Kim Jong Il.

The essay says:

The Koreans came to know about the world of comradeship looking up to the image of Kim Jong Il after the untimely loss of President Kim Il Sung. The world of comradeship has been brought home to them again at this time of mourning over the sudden loss of Kim Jong Il thanks to the image of Kim Jong Un, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Kim Jong Il loved and valued the call of comrade all his life and he breathed his last as ardent as the call.

He showed what a comrade means by living his life as comrade of Kim Il Sung and the people. He formulated the new concept of comrade throughout his great life.

What was it that he truly wished?

Whether people truly like or not is a standard of the revolution set by him and it is his last instruction and the revolutionary task facing us.

Revolutionary comrades of Kim Jong Il,

Let us think whether it would help advance the country and improve people's livelihood when we do ideological and economic work and cultural construction or when we make a product or modernize a factory.

Korea would lead the world!

This was what was intended and hoped for by Kim Jong Il.

Our life goal is remaining truly faithful to him.

Kim Jong Il put forward the respected young Kim Jong Un, son of Mt. Paektu, at the van of the ranks. It was aimed to accomplish the sacred revolutionary cause reflected in of Patriotic Song.

Let us become eternal comrades of Kim Jong Il.

Let us become eternal revolutionary comrades of Kim Jong Un, sun of the 21st century who rose up with all of the people in his fold true to the undying behests of Kim Jong Il.
