KPA Servicepersons Visit Bier of Kim Jong Il

Pyongyang, December 25 (KCNA) -- Servicepersons of the Korean People's Army Sunday visited the Kumsusan Memorial Palace where the bier of leader Kim Jong Il is placed and expressed condolences on his demise.

The palace where the national flag was hoisted at half-mast was in bitter sorrow over the great loss to the nation.

The bier of Kim Jong Il is bedecked with flowers and his body draped in a red flag.

Standing beside the bier was a wreath sent by Kim Jong Un, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Members of the National Funeral Committee were standing vigil by the side of the bier and guards of honor of the three services of the KPA and the Worker-Peasant Red Guards were standing on either side of the bier.

Amid the solemn playing of the dirge the wreaths in the name of KPA units were laid.

KPA servicepersons observed a moment's silence, looking up to the lofty image of Kim Jong Il.

Before the bier of Kim Jong Il they vowed to remain loyal to the leadership of Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the revolutionary armed forces, representing the unanimous feelings of all the servicepersons of the KPA.
