S. Korea's Repressive Rule Denounced
Pyongyang, May 18 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification in a commentary on May 13 denounced the authorities for resorting to repressive rule.

The commentary recalled that on the same day the police searched houses of former and incumbent members of the Workers' Council for Democracy active in South Chungchong and Kyonggi provinces by invoking the "National Security Law".

It accused the present regime of resorting to the frantic repressive racket against progressive organizations in the wake of retaliatory suppression of the Youth and Students Solidarity for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration and the Youth and Students Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration after it suffered the defeat in the by-election.

It is a typical fascist dictatorial act to unconditionally crack down on the people while charging that their political view is as same as the "north's assertion", pursuant to the policy of confrontation with fellow countrymen, the commentary said.

The present regime should bear in mind that those forces seeking to foster terror and suppress people under the pretext of security while being engrossed in making lies and deception can not evade punishment by the people, it warned.
