The annual meeting of the Democratic Congo preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung and the special plenary meeting of the C.C., Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist) discussed the matters for commemorating the President's birth anniversary more significantly.

Political parties, organizations and personages of various circles in different countries issued statements praising the immortal exploits performed by the President for the Korean revolution and the human cause of independence.

On the occasion of April holidays gifts were presented to leader Kim Jong Il by the chairperson of the Maritime Territorial Regional Committee of "A Just Russia", the curator of the Central Armed Forces Museum of Russia, the chairman of the Italian General Investment Group, the president of the Commerce and Industry and Real Estate Investment Company in Latakia Province of Syria and the chairman of the Ecuador-Guaranda Institute for Friendship and Cultural Solidarity with the Korean People.

With boundless reverence for Kim Il Sung, the king and the great king of Cambodia sent big floral baskets and the Nepali prime minister a floral basket to the DPRK embassies in their countries. Meanwhile personages of political parties, organizations and institutions in various countries visited the DPRK embassies in their countries with floral baskets and bouquets.

The Korean Friendship Association's preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of Kim Il Sung sponsored an Internet book and photo exhibition, which was browsed by more than 7,236,000 people.

More than 420 events of various themes were held in many countries and regions. Among them were nationwide seminars and meetings in Nigeria, Ukraine, Italy and Peru, Kimilsungia shows in Indonesia and Guinea and the Korean pencil drawing and fine art work exhibition in Shanghai of China, which drew spectators.
