Kim Yong Nam Meets Foreign Guests
Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, met and had talks with foreign guests who took part in the consultative meeting of senior officials of the international preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung at the Mansudae Assembly Hall Friday.

They are former Deputy President of the Senate of Nigeria Ibrahim Mantu, Chairman of the Kuwait-DPRK Friendship Association Yousef Al Amiri and Chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association Anders Kristensen, who are co-chairmen of the international preparatory committee, secretaries of the international preparatory committee Martin Lotscher, chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee, and Javed Ansari, secretary general of the Karachi Branch of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association, Raymond Ferguson, national secretary of the Australia-DPRK Association for Friendship and Culture who is vice-chairman of the Asia-Pacific regional preparatory committee, C.P. Mainali, general secretary of the C.C., the Nepal Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) who is chairman of the Nepalese national preparatory committee, Sumiko Shimizu, representative of the Japanese Women's Society for Solidarity with the Korean Women who is chairwoman of the Japanese preparatory committee, and Alejandro Cao de Benos, chairman of the Korean Friendship Association headquartered in Spain who is chairman of the KFA preparatory committee.

Ibrahim Mantu expressed the will to make effort to significantly commemorate the centenary of birth of the President as a great international festival.

He expressed belief that the Korean people would achieve successes in the efforts to build a thriving nation and achieve the reunification of the country true to the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.
