DPRK's Greatest Holiday Observed Abroad
Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- Events were held in different countries between April 4 and 7 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

They included meetings in Bangladesh and Laos, a remembrance meeting in Cambodia, lecture and photo exhibition in Sri Lanka and meeting and seminar on exploits in France.

Displayed in the venue of the photo exhibition were photos showing the immortal exploits of Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Present at the events were personages of political parties, organizations and organizations for the study of the Juche idea and masses of the above-said countries.

Rashed Khan Menon, chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Bangladesh, Hasanul Huq Inu, chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Bangladesh National Socialist Party, and other speakers highly praised Kim Il Sung for clearly indicating the road to be followed by humankind and making an immortal contribution to the cause of global independence with his outstanding and experienced leadership.

The executive secretary of the Funcinpec Party of Cambodia and the international secretary of the Central Committee of the French Revolutionary Communist League said that Kim Il Sung was a great leader recognized not only by the Korean people but by progressive mankind and a symbol of victory and glory as he greatly encouraged the world anti-imperialist independent forces.

Tong Yeu Tho, chairman of the Laos-Korea Friendship Association, stressed in his speech that it would always support the Korean people in their struggle for reunifying the country in line with the proposals set forth by the President.

Edmond Jouve, director-general of the European Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, noted that the cause of Songun started by the President has successfully been carried forward by Kim Jong Il.

A message to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the meeting held in Bangladesh.
