Korean People's Struggle Supported at International Forum
Pyongyang, December 22 (KCNA) -- An international forum supporting the Korean people and youth in their struggle for the independent and peaceful reunification of the country took place at an exhibition held in South Africa on December 17.

Present there were youth and student delegations of different countries including that from the DPRK attending the 17th World Festival of Youth and Students, delegates of international and regional organizations and the DPRK ambassador to the country.

A keynote report was made by the general secretary of the World Federation of Democratic Youth to be followed by a report of Ri Yong Chol, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, who headed the delegation of the DPRK.

Speeches were also made there.

They accused the U.S. imperialists and the Lee Myung Bak regime of their reckless military provocations and war moves. They also expressed full support and solidarity with the Korean people and youth in their struggle to achieve the reunification of the country and build a thriving nation.

An appeal to the world progressive youth and students was read out.

A letter to General Secretary Kim Jong Il was adopted there.

An art performance was given by members of the DPRK delegation and a demonstration presentation was made by South African Taekwon-Do practitioners.
