Pyongyang, December 22 (KCNA) -- When December comes, the Korean people and servicepersons are recollecting the brilliant life of anti-Japanese heroine Kim Jong Suk who performed immortal feats in the history of Songun revolution of Juche.

She joined the Korean People's Revolutionary Army in the Chechangzi guerrilla zone in September Juche 24 (1935).

Less than 100 servicepersons of the KPRA and members of the anti-Japanese self-defence corps and young volunteers' corps defeated more than ten thousand-strong Japanese "punitive" force in the battle for the defence of the Chechangzi guerrilla zone in October that year.

She imbued the fighters with faith that they were sure to win any battle if they fought by the combat method taught by President Kim Il Sung.

She told them not to expose the positions of the KPRA to the reckless shelling and bombing of the enemy, thereby contributing to the victory in the battle.

Upon hearing the news that the position of members of the young volunteers' corps was in danger while the battle was going on, she lost no time to rush there together with a veteran fighter. She instructed the fighters there to shower stones upon the enemy troops coming in attack.

Hit hard by a shower of stones, they fell en masse and the rest ran helter-skelter.

When fighters ran out of ammunition, she together with other women fighters carried it.

This battle bore witness to her extraordinary military wisdom, disposition, courage and braveness.
