Hydroelectric Power Output Goes Up
Pyongyang, October 26 (KCNA) -- Hydroelectric power plants have steadily boosted the production after celebrating the 65th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea with Kim Jong Il reelected as WPK general secretary.

The Suphung Power Station has elevated the efficiency of its generating equipment, while keeping hydraulic structures in good condition and properly controlling water.

It has also pushed ahead with the technical innovation campaign for improving the management of the power station and increasing the electricity output.

From the beginning of the year the Hochongang Power Station, Kanggye Youth Power Station and Pujongang Power Station have raised the output 30 percent higher than the same period of last year by ensuring a high-water level and high efficiency of generating equipment.

The Wiwon Power Station and Sodusu Power Station have topped their daily assignments, strictly observing technical regulations and standard procedures in the operation of generating equipment.

Such achievements have also been reported from the Taedonggang Power Station.
