They referred to the fact that the south Korea-U.S. annual security consultative meeting held in Washington on Oct. 8 dealt with only the issue of escalating the military threat and sanctions against the DPRK but did not take up the issue of peace on the Korean Peninsula at all.

The organizations accused the meeting of agreeing on the issues of turning the alliance for aggression into a permanent one, increasing south Korea's dependence on the U.S. and intensifying the exercises for a war of aggression against the DPRK and the Lee Myung Bak regime of signing the documents dealing with these issues.

Bitterly condemning the agreements aimed at escalating confrontation with the DPRK, they urged the south Korean authorities and the U.S. to roll back their policy for confrontation with the DPRK and come out as early as possible for dialogue and negotiations for building a peace-keeping regime on the Korean Peninsula.
