The stamp carries a photo of President Kim Il Sung and Fidel Castro Ruz.

Seen on it are letters reading "Commemorating the 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the DPRK and the Republic of Cuba" and "Juche 49 (1960)-Juche 99 (2010)" and national flags of the two countries.

A releasing ceremony was held at the Korean Stamp Exhibition Hall on Monday.

Present there were Kim Hyong Jun, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Ho Song Gil, director of the State Stamp Bureau of the DPRK, officials concerned, working people in the city, Ambassador Jose Manuel Galego Montano and staff members of the Cuban embassy here.

Speakers at the ceremony said that the release of the stamp would mark a historical occasion in demonstrating the firm will of the two parties, armies and peoples to struggle to the last for the victory of the human cause of independence and socialism in the new century, too.

The participants looked round the commemorative stamps on display showing the friendly relations between the two countries.
