Korean People's Struggle Supported in Philippines
Pyongyang, August 30 (KCNA) -- The Philippines Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification in the Korean Peninsula issued a statement on August 15 on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

It noted that President Kim Il Sung advanced the three principles of national reunification -- independence, peaceful reunification and the great unity of the nation -- and the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo and dedicated all his life to the work to bring a reunified country to the people.

The statement accused the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet authorities of fabricating the case of the sunken warship "Cheonan" and staged madcap war exercises targeted against the DPRK under that pretext.

It went on:

The Korean people have invariably been true to the noble cause of reunification of the President and General Secretary Kim Jong Il despite the moves of the U.S. and the south Korean puppet authorities.

The organization, standing for the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea, demands the U.S. make compensation for all its crimes committed against the Korean people. It extended full solidarity and support to them led by Kim Jong Il.
