Japan Urged to Redeem Its Past Crimes in Ukraine
Pyongyang, August 28 (KCNA) -- The Ukrainian "Treasured Sword of Songun" Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and the Ukraine-DPRK Association sent a letter to the Japanese embassy in their country on August 23 in protest against the statement issued by the chief executive of Japan on the occasion of the lapse of a century since the fabrication of the brigandish "Korea-Japan Annexation Treaty".

The letter said that his statement was nothing but an artifice to evade the responsibility for the atrocities committed by the Japanese imperialists against the Korean people.

It went on:

The Japanese authorities have turned their faces away from making reparation for the past crimes. This goes to prove that they are still not admitting the aggression and plunder perpetrated against the Asian people in the past as crimes.

The claim of Japan, a defeated nation, to Tok Islets of Korea and Japan's evasion of reparation for its past crimes are part of the moves to revive its militarism and this attitude is arousing concern and protest from among the world progressives.

The letter strongly demanded that the Japanese authorities make an apology and reparation to the DPRK for such past crimes as the forcible drafting of Koreans and sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army.
