Eradication of Leftovers of Era of Confrontation Called for
Pyongyang, January 15 (KCNA) -- In order to promote reconciliation and cooperation between the north and the south and achieve national unity it is necessary to have such fascist laws as the "National Security Law" and repressive machines, leftovers of the era of confrontation, abolished in south Korea without delay.

Rodong Sinmun Friday urges this in a signed article.

It goes on:

It is an important condition for achieving national reconciliation and unity to eradicate the leftovers of the era of confrontation in south Korea.

Such fascist laws as the NSL and repressive machines as the "National Intelligence Service" in south Korea are intolerable repressive tools as they incriminate and suppress contacts and exchanges with fellow countrymen for achieving unity and reunification.

As the fascist repressive machines go on with sharp teeth, there returned to south Korea the past era of dictatorship, pro-reunification patriotic forces are falling everyday, shedding blood, and even the slightest movement for national reconciliation and unity is ruthlessly suppressed.

It is due to the anti-reunification scenario of the conservative forces in south Korea that such fascist laws as the NSL still remain in force there in the June 15 era of reunification when national reconciliation and unity have become a trend of the times.

The conservative forces in south Korea including the "Grand National Party" are the remnants of the past era of confrontation that have lived out their days. Pushed to a serious crisis by the violent trend of the times, the conservative forces are busy maintaining such fascist laws as the NSL and repressive machines in a bid to stay in power and restore the era of confrontation.

In order to have all leftovers of the era of confrontation eradicated in south Korea and achieve national reconciliation and unity, it is necessary to intensify, above all, the struggle against the anti-reunification forces who stake their fate on them, concludes the article.
