WPK Birthday Observed in Foreign Countries
Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- Political figures of Nepal and India published statements on the occasion of the 64th birthday of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Former Foreign Minister K. P. Sharma Oli, chief of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (United Marxist-Leninist), said in his statement on October 7 that the Korean revolution pioneered by President Kim Il Sung set an example to be followed by all workers of the world in the revolutionary struggle against all sorts of the imperialist and dominationist exploitation and interference.

He stressed that the Nepal Communist Party (United Marxist-Leninist) extends congratulations to General Secretary Kim Jong Il who has steered the Workers' Party of Korea with his Songun revolutionary guidance, ushering in a new era of building a thriving socialist nation and to the WPK and the Korean people.

He voiced firm support and solidarity to the Korean people advancing towards final victory of the cause of Juche.

Hari Singh Khan, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), noted in a statement on October 6 that the founding of the WPK made it possible for the Korean people to dynamically advance along the road of building a new society, the road of socialism, eradicating the aftermath of the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule.

He said that the history and tradition of the WPK, founded and developed by Kim Il Sung, are given steady continuity by Kim Jong Il, who is leading the Korean people along the road of victory.
