We, on behalf of the CPC and the Chinese government and people, extend warm congratulations to you, and through you, to the WPK, the DPRK government and the fraternal Korean people on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the PRC and the DPRK.

The establishment of bilateral diplomatic ties was an important event of epoch-making significance in the history of the relations between the two countries and marked the beginning of bilateral friendly relations.

The traditional Sino-DPRK friendship stood the test of the changing complicated international situation and the Sino-DPRK good-neighborly, friendly and cooperative relations have steadily grown strong thanks to the concerted efforts of the two sides over the last six decades.

Both sides have had a frequent exchange of visits at various levels and briskly cooperated with each other in various fields and maintained adjustment and cooperation in the international and regional issues.

The history proves that the development of the Sino-DPRK relations is in line with the fundamental interests and common desire of the two peoples and is favorable for defending the regional peace and stability, too.

The party, the government and the people of China attach utmost importance to the further development of the Sino-DPRK good-neighborly, friendly and cooperative relations under the new situation.

We will strive together with the Korean side to steadily develop the Sino-DPRK relations of good-neighborliness, friendship and cooperation provided and fostered by the leaders of the elder generation of the two countries in the spirit of "inheriting the tradition, facing up to the future, building good-neighborly friendship and strengthening cooperation".
