Withdrawal of Unpopular and Undemocratic Policy Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, July 9 (KCNA) -- Political parties and civic and public organizations of south Korea including the Democratic Labor Party and the People's Council for People's Livelihood and Democracy held a rally in Taejon on July 5 at which they demanded the puppet authorities roll back their policy against the people's livelihood and democracy.

The participants in the rally accused Lee Myung Bak and the "Grand National Party" of desperately trying to retrogressively revise the "law on part-time job" as intended by them while working hard to prevent the part-timers from becoming full-timers.

Charging that the authorities are keen to cut down the taxes to be paid by the rich and helping big businesses gain huge profits under the pretext of "improving four large rivers", they termed the Lee Myung Bak regime a regime keen on plundering common people.

They demanded Lee make an apology to the bereaved families of the slain evacuees in Ryongsan, make a switchover in his self-righteous "state administration" and retract at once all the evil bills and policies meeting the interests of the business tycoons.

They called on all the people to pool efforts and force Lee to step down and deal a decisive blow at the GNP.

At the end of the rally the participants staged a demonstration march.
