Lee Myung Bak Group's Moves to Stamp out Jongyojo Flayed
Pyongyang, July 9 (KCNA) -- The People's Council for Livelihood and Democracy of south Korea held a press conference on July 3 at which it denounced the Lee Myung Bak group for its frantic suppression of the Teachers Union in south Korea (Jongyojo).

The organization charged that the authorities' search operation against Jongyojo is a brutal action unprecedented even in the period of dictatorship in the past.

The Lee group is working hard to calm down the public resentment at the unpopular educational policy by cracking down upon Jongyojo and leaving no means untried to put teachers under its control, the organization noted, adding that this is a clear indication that there is no longer freedom of expression on this land.

It has become clearer that the Lee conservative ruling forces are a group of dictators, the organization held, declaring that it would struggle against their repressive moves to gag the teachers.

If the Lee group does not stop the suppression of the freedom of expression and Jongyojo, the second movement for issuing declarations on the situation will develop into an all-people movement, it warned.
