Exhibition of Korean and Chinese Children Opened
Pyongyang, June 1 (KCNA) -- An exhibition of calligraphic works and drawings produced by Korean and Chinese children was opened on the occasion of the International Children's Day this year, a "year of DPRK-China friendship."

Its opening ceremony took place at the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace on Monday.

Attending it were Jon Yong Jin, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, officials concerned and schoolchildren in the city of Pyongyang and a delegation of the Shanghai Association for Cultural Exchanges with Foreign Countries of China led by Gao Ling, assistant to the secretary general of the association, and staff members of the Chinese embassy here.

Speeches were made there.

The speakers said that carried in the exhibits are the Korean and Chinese children's beautiful dreams about future and their resolution to develop the DPRK-China friendship generation after generation.

They expressed belief that the exhibition would be conducive to deepening the friendship between the children, youths and other people of the two countries and significantly adorning the "year of DPRK-China friendship."
