Kim Jong Il Enjoys Performance Given by State Merited Chorus
Pyongyang, April 26 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il enjoyed a performance given by the State Merited Chorus on April 25 on the occasion of the 77th founding anniversary of the KPA.

Put on the stage were male choruses "Song Devoted to Marshal Kim Il Sung" and "Song of the Korean People's Army", male solo and male chorus "Where Are You, Dear General", female solo and male chorus "Nobody Knows", male solo and male chorus "For the Motherland", orchestra and male chorus "Mungyong Pass", male chorus "We Will Defend the Leadership of the Revolution at the Cost of Our Lives" and other numbers.

The performers sang high praises of the shinning path of victory and glory covered by the heroic KPA and truthfully represented the iron faith and invincible will of the army and the people of the DPRK to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche started in the forest of Mt. Paektu.

Kim Jong Il highly appreciated the successful performance given by the artistes of the State Merited Chorus, expressing his great satisfaction over the fact that they gave a splendid performance replete with the spirit of the era and the revolutionary soldier spirit.

He expressed expectation and belief that all the creators and artistes of the State Merited Chorus would conduct brisk revolutionary and militant art activities to encourage the army and the people of the DPRK in the gigantic drive for building a great prosperous and powerful nation.

Among the audience were KPA Vice Marshal Kim Yong Chun, minister of the People's Armed Forces, KPA General Kim Jong Gak, first vice-director of the General Political Bureau of the KPA, KPA Generals Kim Myong Guk, Hyon Chol Hae, Ri Myong Su and Kim Won Hong and other commanding officers of the army and Secretary Kim Ki Nam, department directors Jang Song Thaek, Pak Nam Gi, Choe Ik Gyu and Kim Yang Gon and other leading officials of the WPK Central Committee.
