Exhibited in the venues of the meetings were works of the great persons of Mt. Paektu and photos showing their undying feats and the ones introducing the struggle of the Korean people for building a thriving nation.

Speeches were made at the meetings.

Garib Newaz, president of the Bangladesh People's League, noted that the Korean people and other progressive people of the world have dynamically advanced along the road of independence as they have Kim Jong Il, creditable successor to the revolutionary cause of Juche.

He sincerely hoped that the Korean people would build a thriving nation and achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country at an early date, true to the Songun policy of Kim Jong Il.

Erich Zavadil, chairman of the Consultative Committee of the Society for the Promotion of the Relations between Austria and the DPRK, said that the Korean people have dynamically advanced along the road of building a rich and powerful nation and reliably defended socialism under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.

The general secretary of the France-Korea Friendship Association praised Kim Jong Il as the great statesman recognized by the world for his rare quality and feats, reiterating his will to support the just cause of the Korean people and exert positive efforts to develop the relations between the two countries.

Messages of greetings to Kim Jong Il were adopted at the meetings held in Austria and Bulgaria.
