Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA) -- A Ugandan preparatory committee for commemorating the Day of the Sun and February 16 and a Congolese preparatory committee for celebrating February 16 were formed on Jan. 23 and 24.
Kirunda Kivejinja, third vice-prime minister and minister of Information and National Guidance of Uganda, was elected chairman of the Ugandan preparatory committee.
Alphonse Gonza, member of the Political Bureau of the Congolese Party of Labour who is secretary of the party, was elected honorary chairman of the Congolese preparatory committee and Louis Andregoma, chairman of the Congolese National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, Leon Nzokene, general secretary of the Congolese Socialist Party, and Vital Balla, chairman of the Congolese Association for Friendship among Peoples, co-chairmen of the preparatory committee.
The Ugandan preparatory committee discussed on a plan of events to be held on the occasions of the Day of the Sun and the February holiday.
The Congolese preparatory committee decided to widely introduce the immortal Juche idea and the original Songun politics and organize colorful political and cultural functions on the occasion of the February holiday.
