Puppet Authorities' Suppression Accused in S. Korea
Pyongyang, November 21 (KCNA) -- Members of the Joint Measure Committee for the Frustration of the Suppression of the Socialist Workers' Federation and the Repeal of the "National Security Law" Which Violates the Freedom of Political Activities and Thinking, the People's Solidarity for Abolition of the "National Security Law" and other civic and public organizations of south Korea called a press conference in front of the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office on Nov. 17 to denounce the puppet authorities' despicable suppression.

Speakers at the press conference recalled that the security authorities applied again for warrants of arrest for members of the Socialist Workers' Federation on Nov. 14.

The police are claiming they have evidence enough to prove the charges of violating the NSL brought against members of the federation after analyzing more than 49,000 materials, they noted, adding that this is nothing but a ploy to falsify truth through a counting game.

Accusing the security authorities of trying to cook up another "case of organization" to suppress the federation by linking its activities with candlelight actions, they stated: This saliently reveals the true colors of the dictatorial regime violating the freedom of expression and conscience.

Then a press release was read out.
