Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- Cuban Ambassador to the DPRK Jose Manuel Galego Montano gave a briefing at his embassy on Tuesday on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the start of the war for independence by the Cuban people.
Present there were members of the Korea-Cuba Solidarity Committee, media persons in Pyongyang and staff members of the Cuban embassy here.
The Cuban ambassador referred to the international solidarity movement now under way for the release of five Cuban patriots detained in the U.S. He informed the participants of the struggle of the Cuban people to put an end to the U.S. moves of economic blockade against Cuba and efforts of the party, government and people of Cuba to clear away the disasters caused by the recent hurricane.
Then he answered questions put by journalists.
