Japanese Reactionaries' Moves for Overseas Military Expansion under Fire
Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- The Japan Ministry of Defense reportedly decided to reinforce the analyzing mechanism of the intelligence headquarters in charge of Africa from April of next year in a bid to increase the capability for gathering information on the African region. Timed to coincide with this, Japan is becoming vociferous about the exercise of its "right to collective self-defense".

Rodong Sinmun today observes this in a signed commentary.

It goes on:

The Japanese reactionaries' assertion is, in a nutshell, intended to escalate their moves for overseas expansion and it is beyond doubt that this measure would give momentum to their military intrusion into the African countries.

What merits more serious attention is that the Japanese reactionaries are going to allow the Japan "Self-Defense Forces" (SDF) to exercise the above-said right.

If the SDF is allowed to exercise such right, it will dispatch its troops to different parts of the world under the pretext of "UN peace keeping operations" to legally conduct its military actions for aggression. This will lead to totally destroying the institutional mechanism in terms of the Japanese legislation banning the SDF's participation in overseas military operations.

The aim sought by them through this is to legalize the exercise of the "right to collective self-defense" and thus let the SDF hurl its troops to any part of the world in real earnest and undertake military operations for aggression.

It is a hard fact that the military strategy of Japan is completely turning into a strategy for preemptive attack from that for "exclusive defence" and the sphere of its military operations is extending to the Asia-Pacific region and to the world-wide scale from its vicinity. The above-said measures taken by the Japan Ministry of Defense are aimed at carrying out its scenario for escalating overseas aggression worldwide.

Japan is revealing its true colors as a war state and war-like hegemonic forces keen to conquer the world after throwing away the signboard of "pacifist state" it has put up for more than half a century since the end of the war.

Japan would be well advised to face up to the reality and stop at once its moves for military expansion overseas.
