Anniversaries of DPRK and WPK Marked in Czech Republic
Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- A meeting took place in Prague of the Czech Republic on Sept. 27 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the foundation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the 63rd anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Present there were personages of the Czech Parliament, the Communist Party of Czech and Moravia and the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association and other people.

Present there on invitation were the DPRK ambassador to the Czech Republic and staff members of his embassy.

Speeches were made at the meeting.

Jaroslav Kafka, chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association, said that the DPRK is a country where all the people are single-mindedly united, adding that the Korean people and the world progressive people significantly celebrated the 60th birthday of the DPRK and would greet the 63rd anniversary of the WPK.

Jiri Jarka, honorary chairman of the above-said association, referred to the fact that the DPRK has been built into the country for people under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il, noting that the President built the DPRK into a powerful socialist state independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence and Kim Jong Il has aroused the entire party and army and all the people to the general advance for the Songun revolution and wisely led the cause of national reunification.

He expressed belief that thanks to Kim Jong Il's Songun politics the DPRK would emerge a prosperous socialist power in the near future.

A congratulatory message to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the meeting.
