Events Held in Various Countries to Mark WPK Birthday
Pyongyang, October 4 (KCNA) -- Seminars were held by the Group for the Study of the Progressive Ideas of South Africa and the Mexican Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism, a lecture by a branch in Pretoria City of the African National Congress of South Africa and a photo exhibition and a film show by a Singaporean company in the period from Sept. 25 to 27 to mark the 63rd anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

On display in the venues of the events were famous works of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il, photos showing the immortal exploits performed by them in building and leading the WPK and photos introducing the fighting efficiency of the Party.

The chairman of the Group for the Study of the Progressive Ideas of South Africa said in a speech that the WPK has advanced along the straight road of victory as it was founded and strengthened by Kim Il Sung and its history and tradition have been given steady continuity by Kim Jong Il.

Ramon Jimenez Lopez, president of the Mexican committee, explained that the WPK has creditably discharged its mission as the guide of the cause of Songun under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.

The chairman of a branch in Pretoria City of the African National Congress of South Africa said that the WPK realized the single-minded unity of the whole society for the first time in history. The WPK will always emerge victorious and the DPRK's cause of socialism will more dynamically advance as long as there is leadership of Kim Jong Il, he added.

The participants of the film show watched a Korean film showing the might of the WPK.

Meanwhile, a meeting was held and a book, photo and handicraft exhibition opened with due ceremony in Poland on Sept. 15 to mark the 63rd anniversary of the WPK and the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the DPRK and Poland.
