National Exhibition and Public Presentation of Essential Food Held
Pyongyang, October 2 (KCNA) -- A national exhibition and public presentation of essential food took place at the Grand People's Study House from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2.

They brought together officials, scientists and technicians in the field of the production of essential food from across the country.

Introduced at the exhibition and public presentation were more than 200 scientific and technological achievements and experience gained in the researches conducted to improve the quality of soy and bean paste.

Highly appreciated by the participants were scientific research successes and data obtained in increasing the varieties of essential food and improving their quality including the industrialization of the production of fermented soybeans and fermented soybean paste, Korean soy and bean paste production through the cultivation of micro-organism mixture and bean paste production and experience gained in updating various essential food production processes such as computer-aided system for the process of producing fermented soy and the production of soy and bean paste on the basis of IT.

The events also involved lectures on new technology and video shows helpful to solving scientific and technological issues arising in turning out quality soy and bean paste including the standardization of their production and unification of their standards, etc. and exchanges and consultations aimed at introducing advanced technology and methods of producing soy and bean paste, etc.
