The mother of the triplets is Pak Song Mi living in the neighborhood unit No. 3, Wolhyang-dong, Moranbong District, and their father is Kim Kwang Song, an officer of the Korean People's Army.

Immediately after being diagnosed as a triplet pregnant woman in October last year, Pak Song Mi was sent to the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital to get various kinds of nutritive foods and medicines on a regular basis under the best medical assistance.

The triplets born in March weighed 2.38kg, 1.93kg and 1.7kg respectively at birth. And they weigh more than 4 kilograms at present.

The triplets and their parents in good health under the benefits of the socialist healthcare system were seen off by doctors and nurses of the hospital.
