The revolutionary career of Chairman Kim Jong Il was the brilliant one of the outstanding leader and peerless patriot who firmly defended the destiny of the country and people and put socialist Korea on the status of a dignified power, braving the grim path of history, says Rodong Sinmun in an article, adding:

He is, indeed, the eternal leader of our Party, state and people as he laid unshakable foundation for a thriving country with powerful army, where our state will always emerge victorious and our people will lead a happy and comfort life generation after generation.

By formulating the unique Songun political mode, he consolidated the overall national power of the DPRK in every way and led the showdown with the U.S.-led imperialists to victory after victory with his superb strategy and rare commanding art.

He is a benefactor for all ages and the peerlessly great man who made a new history of single-minded unity whereby all the people share the same idea and purpose and win victory with love and affection and provided the eternal foundation of the Juche revolution.

He devoted his all to cementing the strong foundation of the self-reliant national defence capability and the self-supporting economy.

His patriotic desire for a thriving country is now being translated into brilliant reality under leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

It is due obligation and duty of the Korean people, soldiers and disciples of Kim Jong Il, to remain loyal to his revolutionary idea and add glory to his immortal exploits, invariably cherishing the noble moral obligation.

Minju Joson says in an editorial that as long as the DPRK advances under the ever-victorious leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un on the basis of the precious revolutionary legacy bequeathed by Kim Jong Il, the eternal prosperity of the DPRK and the happy future of its people will surely come earlier and the patriotic exploits of Kim Jong Il will shine forever.
