Present there were personages of the State Duma, the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Party for Peace and Unity, the General People's Union Party, the Socialist Political Party "For Just Russia-Patriots-Truth", the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, the Russian Association for the Study of the Juche Idea, the Lenin Young Communist League of the Russian Federation, the Korean War Veterans' Council and other government bodies, political parties and organizations, and the DPRK ambassador to Russia and his embassy members.

The participants paid a silent tribute to Kim Jong Il, praying for his immortality.

The director of the Asia 1 Department of the Foreign Ministry said that Comrade Kim Jong Il, a genuine friend of the Russian people and a prominent statesman, had worked heart and soul to promote the well-being of the Korean people and the security of the country and boost the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between Russia and the DPRK, adding that it is an expression of the greatest reverence for him to further cement the development of the relations between the two countries made by his efforts.

The chairperson of the Party for Peace and Unity said that Kim Jong Il is an outstanding great man recognized by the world people.

The chairperson of the General People's Union Party said that the exploits Kim Jong Il performed by turning the DPRK into a powerful state despite the threat and blackmail from the imperialists in the most difficult period would be clearly recorded in history.

The chairperson of the Association for the Study of the Juche Idea said that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un has performed immortal exploits for the country and people by leading the Korean revolution after the demise of Kim Jong Il, stressing that the whole world witnesses the dignity and prestige of the DPRK which has been put on the highest level thanks to his leadership.
