Ri Kun Yong, manager of the mine, noted in a commemorative report that the President visited the mine in December Juche 51 (1962) and set forth the detailed tasks for normalizing its mineral production and improving the living conditions of its employees and later clearly indicated the way for the mine to follow.

Chairman Kim Jong Il sent many discharged soldiers and large compressors, heavy trucks and others to the mine to build up its core position and material and technical foundations, the reporter said.

The reporter said that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un saw to it that a congratulatory message of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea was sent to the workers of the mine when it fulfilled its yearly plan ahead of schedule, and put forward it as a model unit of the whole country and repeatedly showed deep trust and benevolence.
