The statement said:

We strongly condemn and reject the unprecedented joint military exercises Ulji Freedom Shield staged by the U.S. and the south Korean puppet clique on Aug. 22 to enhance the capability for fighting a war of aggression against the DPRK.

The DPRK warned several times that the aggressive joint military exercises staged by the U.S. and the puppet clique are gravely encroach on the peace and stability not only in the Korean peninsula but also in the Asia-Pacific and will entail fatal consequences.

The U.S. is intensifying the political, economic and military pressure on the DPRK by inveigling its allies of the region, far from having a sound thinking.

As its adventurous policy is sustaining the repeated disgraceful defeat in the whole world, the present U.S. Administration is trying to find a way out by arousing military conflict on the Korean peninsula.

The U.S. and its vassals should never forget that the country they stand face to face is the DPRK with nuclear weapons and their means of delivery and the strongest army in the world.

We firmly support the constructive line of the DPRK for the defence of sovereignty and the peace and prosperity of the Korean peninsula.

The Korean people, united close around the Workers' Party of Korea led by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, will win a decisive victory again in the confrontation with the enemy.
