The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the factory on several occasions to turn it into a factory leading the country's shoe-making industry.

When visiting it in July Juche 103 (2014), he gave a task of reconstructing it in a modern way and settled all the problems arising in its realization.

He again came to the modernly reconstructed factory on January 30 the next year. Going round various parts of the factory turned into a palace of the workers, he noted that the factory provided a firm guarantee for increasing the productivity and raising the quality of products while saving manpower, raw materials and cost, as it put its management on an IT basis and production process on a modern basis of high level. He stressed that the factory, renovated as a model and standard of the country's shoes factory, should produce many more quality and attractive shoes.

After his field guidance to the factory, it has achieved many successes in producing diverse, multi-color and lighter shoes.

The factory developed a cutting machine, quick in speed, high in scientific accuracy and capable of cutting various patterns easily, and introduced it into production. And it raised the quality of products with adhesive, brightener and some kinds of solvent made from locally available raw materials.

Its products were highly appraised at national footwear exhibitions and exhibitions of consumer goods held in recent years.
