Iron Piles Show Up Japanese Imperialists' Atrocity
Pyongyang, March 25 (KCNA) -- After occupying Korea by force early in the last century, the Japanese imperialists had made desperate efforts to exterminate the Korean nation even by using the theory of divination based on topography.

From olden times, the Korean people reckoned that scenic spots produce generals and famous persons.

In a bid to dampen such desire and spirit of the Korean nation, the Japanese imperialists committed atrocities of driving iron piles into Korea's famous mountains and main contiguous lines of strata. According to a confession of Tomoyuki Yamashita, a general of the Imperial Japanese Army who was punished as a war criminal after the Pacific War, the Japanese imperialists drove iron piles into hundreds of spots in Korea.

With the superstitious theory of divination based on topography, they argued that if iron piles were driven into all the contiguous lines of strata regarded as a living human body, the land and people would get sick and then disaster would follow.

And they climbed high mountain ranges of Korea and drove iron piles into their "limited parts" before pouring boiling sulfur into and covering them with cement.

Such deeds are an unethical felony committed in an organized way to exterminate the Korean nation.

Many years have gone, but the hideous criminal traces left by the Japanese imperialists can be seen in different parts of Korea.

On display at the Central Class Education House in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, are iron piles discovered in different parts of the country with photos showing their crimes of driving iron piles.
