The factory is a leading producer of cosmetics with world competitive edge.

Its development would have been unthinkable without guidance of the peerlessly great men.

With a far-reaching plan to newly establish the country's cosmetics industry, President Kim Il Sung saw to it that the factory was founded on September 23, Juche 38 (1949).

In June 1952 when the Fatherland Liberation War was at its height, he visited the factory to set forth the highly important task for producing cosmetics without interruption and indicate the ways for its realization.

Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the factory several times and named the cosmetics "Pomhyanggi". He also took a state measure to turn the factory into a modern base for cosmetics production.

True to their noble intention, Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un visited the factory on June 29, 2018 to indicate the orientation and ways for opening up a new heyday of cosmetics industry.

Over the past 70 years since its birth, the factory has updated many objects and put the cosmetics production processes on a germ-free and dust-free basis.

It made a lot of equipment like soap packing machine to increase the variety of cosmetics in recent years.

This year alone, the factory succeeded in diversifying the "Pomhyanggi"-trademarked cosmetics by developing tens of kinds of new products.

In particular, the anti-aging nutrient solution produced by the factory won an inventor medal and certificate from the World Intellectual Property Organization.
