Chairman Kim Jong Il Lauded by Swiss Organizations

Pyongyang, October 24 (KCNA) -- The Swiss Organizing Committee for the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea made public a joint statement on Oct. 18 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the publication of Chairman Kim Jong Il's work "Socialism Is a Science."

The statement said that Kim Jong Il published the work on Nov. 1, 1994 to demonstrate the inevitability of the triumph of socialism as a science.

The work was published at a time when the imperialists, reactionaries and renegades of socialism were fussing about the "complete end of socialism" and claiming that the ideal of socialism itself is invalid, the joint statement said.

It added that he made a clear-cut analysis of the factor in the invincibility of Korean socialism and of the reason for the collapse of socialism in some countries.

It maintained that man-centred socialism, socialism centred on the popular masses, is most scientific, advantageous and powerful, adding that for its scientific accuracy and truth, socialism is sure to be victorious.

Through the work one can know well that he was an outstanding thinker and theoretician and a great teacher for the accomplishment of the socialist cause, the statement said.
