President Kim Il Sung, considerate of the desire of the Koreans in Japan who wanted to return home, saw to it that the Committee for Receiving Korean Nationals in Japan was founded on Oct. 21, Juche 48 (1959), clearly indicated the path to be covered by it, and developed it into an organ in charge of the affairs concerning the overseas compatriots visiting the homeland.

True to the noble intention of the President, Chairman Kim Jong Il established a regular system for successfully conducting the work with overseas compatriots and showed warm love for the officials and employees of the administration, reposing trust in them.

The administration has covered the path of proud development for the past 60 years under the wise guidance of the peerlessly great men.

Present at the meeting were Kim Yong Chol, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and officials and employees of the administration.
