Rodong Sinmun Blasts S. Korean Warmongers for Military Hostile Acts
Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- According to a news report, the commander of the U.S. Marines disclosed in a recent seminar that the U.S.-south Korea marine corps' joint drill has been waged non-stop, adding that the drill continued mainly through a collaboration between the U.S. 3rd Marine Expeditionary Unit present in Japan and the south Korean Marine Corps. He also said that a marine corps' drill would be staged in collaboration with the units of the south Korean Marine Corps in Phohang, five islands in the West Sea of Korea, etc. this autumn, too. Prior to the seminar, some U.S. military VIPs admitted that a joint special warfare drill between units of the U.S. Marines and the south Korean Marine Corps was staged non-stop.

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in a commentary says it proves that the south Korean authorities showed "a handshake of peace" in the eyes of the world but, behind the curtain, persisted in the joint military exercises against the north such as a marine corps' joint drill with the U.S.

The commentary goes on:

The marine corps' joint drill is a typical one for invading the north as the drill has been waged under the simulated conditions of a landing operation, special warfare, etc. against the DPRK.

The reckless act of the south Korean warmongers constitutes an open violation of the north-south agreements which south Korea committed itself to implementing before the entire nation and the international community and an undisguised act of disturbing the peace of the Korean Peninsula.

The wildcat acts of trigger-happy forces at home and abroad who violate the agreements and are resorting to military provocations pose a serious threat to the peace and stability in the peninsula and the region.

The military hostile acts running counter to the trend of the times will produce the catastrophic consequences.

The warmongers would be well-advised to ponder on it and act with discretion.
